Take a stroll through beautiful vineyards, apple orchards and ancient oak woodlands, or join an expert-led tour and tasting experience. Our winery and all our tours operate year-round, with a variety of packages for different budgets.
Tour and Tasting
Mon - Thur, 11am-1pm, £45pp | Fri-Sun, 10:30am or 1.30pm, £65pp | 2 hour tour
Walk our vineyards, orchards and ancient oak woodlands with one of our experienced guides. You’ll learn about our history and viticultural practices, as well as how we work alongside nature to produce our award-winning wines.
Learn about the process of winemaking from Head Winemaker, Fergus Elias, in our short film. On weekends this tour takes you through our state-of-the-art winery.
Finish the tour with a tutored tasting of six Balfour wines that reflect our diverse range of still and sparkling wines.

Tutored Wine Tasting

Our knowledgeable tour guides will lead you in a fun and relaxed tasting of six Balfour Wines, where you can learn the technique of wine tasting without the bravado.
Wine and Dine Experience
Thursday - Sunday, 11am - 4.30pm | £175pp
This luxury all-day tour and tasting experience includes transfers from Marden train station to take you into the heart of England’s wine garden.
You’ll be greeted with a glass of our signature Balfour sparkling wine while you take in the breathtaking views overlooking Nannette’s vineyard on our terrace.
Discover the history of Balfour Winery and the 400-acre land surrounding it before a tour of the vineyards.
On your walk, you will be shown hidden areas of the estate not accessible on other tours and given insights into our viticulture practices, and our woodland and wildflower conservation program.
After the tour, you will visit our state-of-the-art winery* where you will be given a comprehensive overview of the winemaking and production techniques used for our still and sparkling wines. This is followed by a tutored tasting of six Balfour wines including new release and limited-edition wines.
Enjoy a delicious, seasonal three-course lunch with wine pairings by our Head Winemaker Fergus Elias.

Winemakers' Kitchen Lunch & Tutored Wine Tasting

For an afternoon of indulgence and education, the Winemakers’ Kitchen Lunch and Tutored Tasting Experience offers an ideal escape. Begin with a guided tasting of four carefully selected wines, set in the surroundings of the one of our beautiful tasting rooms, where our expert guides share their insights.
Following the tasting, settle in for a leisurely two-course lunch in the Winemakers’ Kitchen, where a thoughtfully crafted set menu awaits. Whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or simply looking for a unique dining experience, this blend of wine, food, and knowledge is sure to delight in an idyllic, relaxed atmosphere.

Collect a map from our Cellar Door and explore the picturesque Estate at your own pace. With two routes to choose from, enjoy tranquillity and stillness, as you stroll through beautiful vineyards, apple orchards, wildflower meadows and ancient oak woodlands.
This is a working vineyard. For your safety, it is essential that guests check in with the winery team before entering the vineyard.
