The Story
The Winemakers’ Collection is a chance for Fergus Elias to step away from the rules and create wines that satisfy pure winemaking curiosity.
Both releases originate from the same Kentish vineyard and the same Chardonnay clone 76, selected for its finesse, structure, and ability to capture the subtle nuances of place. Crafted in small volumes, each wine explores different paths: one bottled as a bright, finely structured traditional-method sparkling wine; the other allowed to rest quietly into a textured, expressive still Chardonnay.
Together, they offer a rare side-by-side look at clone, vineyard and technique; a study in what happens when a winemaker allows instinct to take the lead.
