The Story
Crafted from Burgundy clones grown on our Middle Strackney Wood and Old Eight Acre vineyards, Skye’s Chardonnay is an expression of precision and restraint. Full malolactic fermentation and extended lees ageing give the wine its creamy weight and textural depth, while preserving a vivid citrus core. Fermented and matured entirely without oak, it proves that complexity need not come from barrel, but from thoughtful winemaking and the clarity of Kent’s terroir. Pale gold in colour, with aromas of citrus zest, white flowers and a whisper of thyme, the palate is finely woven, mineral and long. A wine that rewards quiet attention and redefines English Chardonnay.
