Liberty’s Bacchus 2025

Fresh • Vibrant • Distinctly English

Named after the family Dalmatian, Liberty; lively, bright, and impossible not to love. Elderflower, citrus and a hint of hedgerow herbs give it a bright, zippy personality, while just enough structure and subtle oak whisper that it isn’t all play. Some insist on calling it “England’s answer to Sauvignon Blanc”. Step aide Savvy B, bottle of Libby B anyone?

Bacchus, but not as you know it. Vibrant, compelling with complexity and depth. Fergus Elias Head Winemaker

The Story

When Fergus Elias set out to make Liberty’s Bacchus, he wasn’t interested in polite company. He wanted a Bacchus that could do more than just look pretty in a glass: a wine with texture, depth, and a little English cheek. A touch of barrel ageing, a wild fermentation or two, and the result is a white that’s crisp, floral, and distinctly unboring. It’s the sort of wine that reminds you why Bacchus is England’s unofficial favourite grape, while also proving it can grow up a bit.
