Welcome to a World of Balfour Hospitality beyond the Estate. We are proud to extend the hospitality for which we are renowned at Balfour Winery to the ten fantastic pubs we also own. Situated throughout Central London, East Sussex, Kent and the Cotswolds they offer food, drink, a choice of boutique bedrooms. All of our properties offer event spaces for hire in some capacity, ranging from small family dinners to large weddings, and Balfour St Bart’s is perfect for corporate events, filming and large-scale social events, weddings, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, and more.
Balfour at Bow Wine Vaults
Nestled behind the famous Mary-le-Bow Church and just a stone’s throw from St Paul’s Cathedral, Balfour at Bow serves much loved traditional food and the highest quality wines. A beautiful restaurant, bistro and bar with private function rooms and an outdoor terrace, situated in the heart of the City since 1987.
Balfour St. Barts
Overlooking the City of London’s iconic Smithfield Market, Balfour St Bart’s is Balfour Winery’s London base. A popular bar, restaurant and celebrated wedding venue serving great food and an impressive range of craft beers, ales, signature cocktails and, of course, English wines.
The Bull and The Hide
Located near London’s Liverpool Street station, The Bull is a bustling traditional-style pub serving up a huge selection of beers, ales and wines. There are ten boutique rooms and suites available at The Bull.
We are excited to announce the latest addition to Balfour’s portfolio of Pubs and Hotels, The Falcon, a beautiful Georgian townhouse, nestled in the picturesque village of Painswick in The Cotswolds.
The Falcon is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or some of our locally sourced dishes.
Spend the night in one of our beautifully designed rooms and take in the outstanding views The Cotswolds have to offer.
The Goudhurst Inn
Located near Balfour Winery in the picturesque village of Goudhurst, The Goudhurst Inn boasts four boutique suites, locally-sourced food and dining room, and a large outdoor terrace with breath-taking views of the Weald of Kent.
The Ship Inn
The Ship Inn is a family-friendly pub and dining room with individually designed hotel rooms. Located in the heart of the historic East Sussex town of Rye. The Ship Inn is a popular hub for locals and visitors alike, serving locally sourced seasonal food and offering a wide range of beers, wines and spirits. The pub and a selection of rooms are dog friendly.
The Swan has put the fires on and opened its doors to the local residents of Forest Row! The menus change seasonally to reflect the best of our local produce, featuring signature fish dishes as well as traditional pub classics and tasty creations lovingly prepared in our chef’s kitchen.
The Tickled Trout
Located in West Farleigh, The Tickled Trout is a smart modern pub with six boutique rooms and a favourite with the locals. The pub offers a sun-filled deck terrace for al fresco dining and events, a large landscaped garden and a children’s play area.
Although The Windmill attracts visitors from far and wide, at heart, it is still a community pub with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The Windmill serves a selection of excellent local ales and fine wines, and our food, largely sourced from local farmers, is well known for both its heartiness and its sophistication.
The Woolpack Hotel is a 15th Century Inn in the middle of the High Street in Tenterden, Kent. Positioned in the heart of the county, Tenterden makes a perfect base from which to explore the Kent countryside and beyond. The Woolly, as it’s affectionately known, is a family- and dog-friendly pub and restaurant with seven individually designed bedrooms.
