Front of House and food runners required

We are looking to expand our fantastic team as spring approaches. We are hiring friendly and vibrant front-of-house staff for our beautiful restaurant, The Winemakers’ Kitchen as well as for our Cellar Door dining. We are also hiring runners to assist the front-of-house team.

No day will be the same with a mix of fabulous events as well as our day-to-day service.

We pride ourselves on our award-winning wines produced on-site, our outstanding customer service, and the overall premium experience we offer to our guests. We believe in hard work and dedication but having fun while we are doing it.

Requirements:

You must be passionate, dedicated and presentable.

• Winemakers’ Kitchen Restaurant FOH: previous restaurant experience is essential and an interest in wine would be advantageous.
• Cellar Door FOH:  previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
• Food runners: previous experience is not necessary and full training will be given

Hours are variable but will include weekends, weekend evenings and bank holidays.

Competitive hourly rate plus tronc.

Tour Guide at Balfour Winery, Staplehurst Kent

Are you passionate about wine and eager to share your knowledge with others? Balfour Winery, based in Staplehurst Kent, are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the team as Tour Guides.

Schedule: Weekends and bank holidays (please do not apply if you are not able to work on these days)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging and informative tours of our picturesque winery, showcasing our vineyards, production facilities, and tasting rooms.
• Retail wine sales are an important responsibility of the role, you will be required to work within the retail section and proactively sell our wines
• Share the story of Balfour Winery’s heritage, winemaking process, and the unique characteristics of our wines with visitors.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with wine tastings, answering questions, and ensuring a memorable experience for all visitors.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the premises.

Requirements:

• Passion for wine and a desire to share that passion with others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups of people.
• Knowledge of winemaking processes and terminology preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
• Ability to work weekends and bank holidays
• Must live within 40 Minute drive of the Winery.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a strong customer service orientation.
